About the Role

As a Key Holder, you serve as a vital extension of store management, ensuring the business runs smoothly in their absence. You are responsible for the full operational cycle of the store, from opening and closing procedures to managing cash handling, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe, orderly environment. This role is designed for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail setting and is committed to delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Day in the Life

Your day begins by opening the store, starting up required systems, and ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day. You will manage the back door for deliveries and oversee the registration of all sales, handling complex transactions such as returns, refunds, and price verifications. Throughout the shift, you model customer service best practices, engaging with customers to resolve issues and answer questions proactively.

Beyond customer interactions, you play a key role in operations by assisting with vendor ordering, reviewing order exceptions, and maintaining accurate inventory counts. You will help develop store displays, ensure proper pricing signage, and assist with basic bookkeeping activities. Additionally, you will support the team in maintaining compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products and ensuring food safety standards are met.
