About the Role

As a Key Holder, you serve as a vital extension of store management, stepping in to open and close the store, manage cash operations, and ensure the floor and stockroom are prepared for the business day. This role is designed for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will act as a liaison between management and the team, communicating tasks and reporting issues when leadership is absent.

Your day involves more than just operational tasks; you are responsible for modeling and sharing customer service best practices. From greeting patients and customers to resolving issues and offering proactive assistance, you set the tone for the store's culture. You will also coach team members on Walgreens service traits, ensuring everyone works together to identify needs and service customers until they are satisfied.

Beyond the sales floor, you play a key role in store operations, including inventory accuracy, pricing compliance, and maintaining a clean, orderly environment. Whether assisting with vendor deliveries, reviewing order exceptions, or ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, your attention to detail keeps the store running smoothly. You will also support the pharmacy window and help maintain a safe environment through bag checks and adherence to company policies.

Hiring Process

We are looking for candidates with at least one year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico). If you have knowledge of store inventory control, that is a plus. For pharmacy-related duties, obtaining and maintaining valid PTCB certification or a pharmacy license as required by state is necessary.
