About the Role
As a Key Holder, you serve as a vital extension of store management, ensuring the business runs smoothly in their absence. You are responsible for the full operational cycle of the store, from opening and closing procedures to managing cash handling systems and preparing the sales floor and stockroom for the day. This role is designed for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Day in the Life
Your day begins by opening the store, managing system startups, and ensuring the back door is ready for vendor deliveries. Throughout the shift, you model exceptional customer service by greeting every guest, proactively offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction. You act as a liaison between management and the team, communicating tasks and reporting on store operations when leadership is unavailable.
Operationally, you maintain the integrity of the store by managing inventory accuracy, overseeing pricing and signage, and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding regulated products. You also play a key role in team development by coaching others on warehouse ordering, reverse logistics, and safety protocols. Whether assisting with pharmacy window duties, managing cash drops, or maintaining the store's appearance, you ensure every task supports the store's mission of operational excellence.
Hiring Process
Candidates with one year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English is required (except in Puerto Rico). Those with knowledge of store inventory control are preferred. Please note that obtaining and maintaining valid PTCB certification or a pharmacy license is required as mandated by the state.
