We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal/Ductwork Fabricator to join our team. This role is central to producing quality goods that reflect SMSI's high standards. You will work with tin ductwork and fittings, utilizing breaks, rolls, hand tools, and proven methods to create precise parts. The position requires a strong ability to interpret engineering blueprints and drawings to fulfill product specifications and determine material dimensions.
As a safety-sensitive role, you will be responsible for inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality expectations and maintaining equipment and tools for longevity and safety. You will also be expected to paint, weld, and produce quality materials. Flexibility is key, as you may be called upon to fill in for other positions around the shop, including painting roles.
To join our team, candidates must demonstrate proven experience in welding and fabrication. A critical step in our selection process is the ability to pass a weld test. Additionally, successful hires must be prepared to complete an OSHA 10-hour certification within 30 days of employment.
