The Service Center Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in the daily operations of the FedEx Freight service center. This position is dedicated to handling customer needs, processing essential documentation for freight movement, and performing administrative duties to ensure smooth logistics operations.
In this fast-paced environment, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, assisting them with inquiries ranging from rate quotes and billing questions to tracing shipments and resolving delivery issues. The role involves verifying and completing required documentation, entering freight shipment information into computer systems, and generating or correcting freight bills.
You will also support city operations by checking in drivers, processing related documentation, and coordinating drop-off and collection situations. A critical aspect of the job includes reviewing drivers' Hours-of-Service logs for accuracy and reconciling cash and checks collected. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills to manage files, data entry, and mail distribution while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies and applicable laws.
This position operates within an office and dock environment. The role is deadline-oriented and fast-paced, with hours that may vary to meet operational needs. The shift time is typically 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
