About the Role
The Welder Repair & Service Technician serves as a vital technical bridge between Arc3 and its customers. This role is designed to provide expert service, support, and troubleshooting for the metalworking equipment Arc3 sells. By optimizing equipment usage and ensuring machines perform at peak levels, you will help customers improve their business operations while earning "trusted expert" status within the industry. The position requires a blend of technical precision, sales acumen, and a commitment to building long-term relationships through integrity and urgency.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleTroubleshoot, repair, and service Arc3-owned welding and metalworking equipment
- check_circleDiagnose customer needs and share vital information with Arc3 personnel
- check_circleAssist branches in assembling, installing, and delivering welding equipment
- check_circleMaintain and clean the service shop and participate in inventory counts
- check_circleTravel to designated branches and perform scheduled customer service calls
- check_circlePerform basic vehicle maintenance and serve as a back-up driver for inter-store needs
- check_circleMaintain CST status through ongoing training with major equipment brands
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedMinimum 2 years of mechanical, electrical, or electronics experience
- verifiedGood driving record
- verifiedExperience interacting directly with customers
Nice to Have
Technical education (e.g., welding engineering technician degrees, related engineering degrees, electronics or electrical degrees). Certified Service Technician certification. Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. Experience repairing pneumatic or hydraulic equipment.
