We are seeking a Senior Cost Engineer or Lead Cost Engineer to support a large-scale, multi-billion-dollar natural gas power generation project in the United States. This pivotal role is designed to lead cost estimating, forecasting, and cost control efforts across the entire project lifecycle, spanning engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
In this position, you will serve as the financial anchor for the project, responsible for developing and managing the cost baseline and forecasts. Your day-to-day involves preparing and validating detailed cost estimates and budgets, while delivering monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to senior leadership. You will evaluate cost impacts related to scope changes and contractor change orders, integrating cost data with project schedules and cash flow models. Additionally, you will partner closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and contracts teams to ensure alignment, while mentoring junior cost engineering staff to build a robust team capability.
