The Senior Patient Access Specialist serves as a vital link in our mission to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. In this onsite role based in Pittsburgh, PA, you will perform admitting duties for all patients receiving services at Ensemble Health Partners. Beyond standard operations, this position involves senior-level responsibilities such as training new hires, developing staff schedules, and providing after-hours support.
You will act as the SMART for the department, ensuring that every patient interaction is handled with the appropriate level of compassion while adhering to strict regulatory compliance requirements. Your day will involve guiding patients through the admission process, explaining consent forms, verifying insurance eligibility, and collecting point-of-service payments. You will also utilize quality auditing systems to ensure accounts are corrected and accurate, serving as a resource for the broader organization.
