With 12,000 employees, the organization strives daily toward the vision of being "the best place to get care" and "the best place to give care." Joining Saint Luke's means becoming part of a team of exceptional professionals dedicated to excellence in patient care within a highly diverse and inclusive workspace where all voices matter.
This position serves as a dedicated advocate for oncology patients, navigating the complex intersection of medical treatment and financial sustainability. Under minimal supervision, you will assess and coordinate financial requirements for time-sensitive cancer treatments, ensuring patients can access chemotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy, and other essential therapies without being hindered by insurance complexities.
You will act as a bridge between patients, physicians, and third-party payers, managing everything from eligibility verification and prior authorizations to financial distress screening and assistance applications. The role requires constant communication with inpatient care coordinators, nursing staff, and oncology leadership to optimize insurance coverage and resolve authorization issues. By improving patient care access and appropriately capturing revenue, you help ensure the financial health of both the patient and the cancer program.
