This position serves as a critical bridge between clinical documentation and financial operations. The primary mission is to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures for patient records, supporting reimbursement, research initiatives, and the generation of vital statistical data.
Beyond individual coding tasks, this role acts as a strategic resource for physician office staff, clinical documentation specialists, and case managers. You will function as a team lead, guiding the onboarding of new staff and driving education on specialized workflows. A key component of the day-to-day involves providing daily feedback and education to providers, staff, and patients, ensuring high standards of documentation and compliance across the organization.
The role also extends to supporting new acquisitions, focusing on documentation improvement and medical necessity education to maintain operational excellence during periods of growth.
