Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide effective challenge during model development and communicate decisions to the business
- check_circleDevelop validation strategies and plans to ensure appropriate vetting of models
- check_circleRepresent the model validation program for internal and external regulatory audits
- check_circleLead research and development for validation of new types of models
- check_circleBuild change management plans and lead activities including readiness assessments and execution
- check_circleCoordinate and monitor the review and sign-off of model validation reporting and inventory
- check_circleProvide technical advice on implementation of the model vetting framework and resolution of risks
- check_circleValidate models and assess model risk to confirm appropriateness for designated portfolios
- check_circleIdentify deficiencies, quantify model risks, and recommend changes or corrective actions
- check_circleIndependently validate and test models against standards, guidelines, and principles
- check_circleAssess model capabilities, stress points, limitations, and associated controls to mitigate risks
- check_circleMonitor, measure, and report the status of the model validation program to stakeholders
Requirements
- verified5-7 years relevant experience
- verifiedPost-secondary degree in related field (MBA in Finance/Economics preferred)
