The Senior Specialist, Benefit Operations plays a central role in managing and coordinating the administration of all company-sponsored health and welfare benefits and wellness programs. This position is primary for Canada and also provides support for the US and Puerto Rico. You will serve as a Tier 2 support resource, working collaboratively with internal People Services teams—including Payroll, Communications, HR Business Partners, and Workforce Administration—as well as external partners such as benefit administrators, insurance carriers, vendors, and brokers.
Your day-to-day involves utilizing the ServiceNow ticket system to research and resolve benefits operations cases, overseeing the daily administration of complex programs (medical, dental, vision, COBRA, HSA, FSA, life insurance, disability, and wellness), and driving process automation to reduce manual tasks. You will act as the main point of contact for vendors and carriers, ensuring successful delivery of contracted services and analyzing enrollment data to identify trends for cost-saving and program improvements. Additionally, you will coordinate M&A activities, prepare government filings, and collaborate with Communications to ensure employees are well-informed about their benefit choices and timelines.
