The Senior Quality Engineer serves as the internal quality representative for both internal and external customers, driving quality forward through effective communication. This role is designed for a self-directed professional who manages multiple customer accounts, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and sub-tier suppliers, often acting as a backup Quality Engineer for additional accounts.
In this position, you will be the subject matter expert for customer-specific requirements and industry standards. Your day-to-day involves maintaining configuration control documentation, reviewing blueprints and specifications, and collaborating with Engineering to submit waivers, concessions, and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). You will play a critical role in investigating customer complaints, managing returns, and communicating corrective actions. Additionally, you will lead or participate in continual improvement projects, internal and external audits, and special process audits to ensure compliance with AS9100, AS13100, and ISO9001 standards.
Candidates selected to join the team will be part of a high-paced, team-oriented environment where a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task are essential. The role requires U.S. person status to comply with the Arms Export Control and Export Administration Act.
