The Senior Quality Engineer serves as the internal quality representative for both internal and external customers, driving quality forward through effective communication. This role is designed for a self-directed professional who manages multiple customer accounts, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and sub-tier suppliers, often acting as a backup Quality Engineer for additional accounts.
In this position, you will function as a subject matter expert for customer-specific requirements and industry standards. Your day-to-day involves maintaining configuration control documentation, reviewing blueprints and specifications, and collaborating with Engineering to submit waivers, concessions, and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). You will play a critical role in the investigation and disposition of customer complaints and returns, ensuring all corrective actions are communicated effectively.
As a key member of the Quality Department, you will manage critical Quality Management System (QMS) processes required by AS9100 and AS13100 standards. This includes participating in internal, external, and special process audits, as well as preparing for Certifying Body audits. You will also lead or contribute to various continual improvement projects and may be tasked with training and coaching team members.
