As a Model-Based Senior Principal Systems Engineer Engagements Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will drive the implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) solutions at Raytheon. You will collaborate with Systems Engineering solution development teams to implement Model-Based Engineering (MBE) capabilities and practices as part of the standard Raytheon Digital Engineering Ecosystem.
This role is designed for a professional with a strong background in hardware product development combined with deep experience in MBSE, MBE, and Model-Based Product Line Engineering (MBPLE). You will be responsible for driving systems engineering processes, creating and validating complex MBSE models, and leading tool and environment integrations. Your work will involve developing best practices, mentoring others, and ensuring connectivity between MBSE tools and other hardware design and analysis platforms.
This is an onsite position located in Tewksbury, MA, Marlborough, MA, Woburn, MA, or Aurora, CO.

Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF). Familiarity with digital twin concepts. Familiarity with Syndeia (semantic broker) by Intercax. Familiarity with Product Line Engineering (PLE) and applying concepts to a SysML model. Familiarity in digital ecosystems and data connectivity via digital threads. Familiarity with data visualization tools including Power BI, Kibana, and/or Grafana. Exposure to MBSE starting point models and MBSE Digital Engineering Environments. OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) – Model User or Model Builder – Fundamental.
