Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Professional, Platform Engineering role is designed to define, design, and implement new features that meet user needs and business goals. With minimal supervision, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade existing platforms, improving performance and functionality through clean, efficient, and scalable code. This position involves troubleshooting complex issues, participating in code reviews to maintain high quality, and sharing knowledge with the platform engineering team.

Nice to Have
Proven experience with API management platforms such as Kong, Broadcom Layer7, Google Apigee, or equivalent technologies. Strong understanding of API gateway architecture, traffic management, rate limiting, and security policies. Expertise in API lifecycle management, including design, publishing, versioning, and retirement. Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect). Proficiency in automation and scripting for API deployment and configuration (Python, Shell, Ansible). Familiarity with CI/CD integration and DevOps practices for API platforms. Knowledge of monitoring and analytics for API performance and usage (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). Exposure to cloud-native API solutions and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lead complex API platform initiatives.
