About the Role

This Senior Engineer position serves as a technical anchor for Lumen's Managed Services, requiring a high degree of coding competency and ownership. You will act as a leader and mentor, guiding peers while driving improvements in Network Reliability and Customer Satisfaction. The role bridges the gap between complex Voice & Transport networks and modern AI-driven automation, ensuring that operational efficiency scales alongside service integrity.

In this capacity, you will be the feedback conduit between engineers and AI/tooling owners, translating adoption friction into actionable requirements. You will also serve as a liaison between Managed Services, internal departments, and external vendors like Cisco and Solarwinds to resolve high-level support issues. Your work ensures that data systems are designed and configured in line with customer goals while maintaining a robust knowledge base of complex routing and switching.
