As a Senior Engineer, you will assume ownership and accountability in areas of recognized coding expertise while providing leadership and guidance across various Lumen organizations. This role is pivotal in identifying ways to improve Network Reliability and Customer Satisfaction through deep knowledge of Voice & Transport networks.
You will act as a bridge between engineering teams and AI/tooling owners, capturing adoption friction and translating findings into actionable requirements for continuous improvement. The position involves mentoring peers and developing technical methods and procedures, ensuring that complex routing and switching knowledge is maintained and applied to enhance operational efficiency.
If selected for a position, there will be a background screen, which may include checks for criminal records, motor vehicle reports, and/or drug screening, depending on the position requirements. Background results will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switch and router configuration and management. Solarwinds Certified Professional certification. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Skills: Microsoft Windows Server, Solarwinds, Cisco, Solarwinds Certified Professional, Layer 2, Layer 3, Switch Configuration, Router Configuration, Network Monitoring, Disaster Recovery.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
