The Office of Information Technology, within the Clinic Management & Informatics division, drives the strategic use of data and technology to support public health initiatives. This team focuses on ensuring access to primary health care, fostering community partnerships, and developing strategic plans for low-income and uninsured populations.
As a Senior Management Analyst Supervisor (SES), you will serve as a pivotal leader within the Department of Health, bridging the gap between complex legislative changes and practical service delivery. This role exists to ensure the financial sustainability of service delivery models and to provide high-level technical expertise regarding health insurance, Medicaid, and managed care systems.
In this position, you will spend the majority of your time supervising and developing a team of professionals. Your day will involve motivating staff, conducting performance evaluations, and managing the full spectrum of personnel actions from hiring to discipline. Beyond team leadership, you will act as a strategic consultant to county health departments, bureau chiefs, and division directors. You will analyze legislative and regulatory proposals to identify trends in the health insurance industry, developing policies that address access issues for vulnerable populations.
You will collaborate with third-party payers, the Agency for Health Care Administration, and the Department of Insurance to negotiate contracts and resolve operational issues. A key part of your mission is to provide technical assistance on billing, claims adjudication, and data analysis, ensuring that county health departments can effectively serve their communities. You will also be responsible for developing communication strategies to assist consumers, insurers, and stakeholders in navigating the complexities of the healthcare system.
