Within the Division of Medical Quality Assurance, the Bureau of Enforcement's Consumer Services Unit plays a critical role in safeguarding public health. This team investigates complex medical and allied health complaints, ensuring that hospitals, nursing homes, and licensed practitioners adhere to strict quality assurance principles and state regulations.
As an Operations Review Specialist, you will serve as a key investigator and analyst within the Consumer Services Unit. Your primary mission is to analyze and process complex medical complaints, including Code 15 Reports, civil malpractice settlements, and unlicensed pharmacy issues. You will determine conformity with existing standards and develop solutions to resolve these intricate cases.
In this role, you will interpret statutes and regulations to guide investigations, issue subpoenas and citations, and prepare detailed investigative reports for legal review. You will act as a liaison between professional boards, complainants, licensees, and other governmental agencies, often testifying at hearings or mediating complaint resolutions. Your work directly supports the agency's commitment to accountability and excellence in healthcare oversight.
