About the Position
Pond is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing Energy team. This role is based in one of our offices in Peachtree Corners, GA; Atlanta, GA; Tampa, FL; or The Woodlands, TX.
You will support a diverse portfolio of projects primarily focused on oil & gas and aviation fueling systems (both military and commercial), with additional opportunities to contribute to renewable energy and utility projects. As a technical lead within Pond's Energy electrical team, you will support multidisciplinary projects across the planning, design, and construction phases. This position is ideal for an engineer with 10+ years of experience who is comfortable owning the electrical scope, guiding project execution, mentoring junior staff, and interfacing directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead electrical design for fuel terminals, LNG facilities, and aviation fueling systems
- check_circleDevelop and review low- and medium-voltage power distribution and grounding systems
- check_circlePerform hazardous area classification reviews and ensure compliant equipment selection
- check_circleProduce and review electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analysis
- check_circleCoordinate electrical scope with mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines
- check_circleSupport construction activities including RFIs, site visits, and commissioning
- check_circleMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to CAD designers
- check_circleAssist with proposal development, technical approaches, and client presentations
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- verified10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
- verifiedProfessional Engineer (PE) license required (or actively in the process of obtaining)
- verifiedStrong working knowledge of IEEE standards, API guidelines, and NFPA 70 (NEC)
- verifiedProficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, and applicable vendor software
Nice to Have
Familiarity with additional NFPA codes including NFPA 101, 407, 497, and 780; IBC familiarity.
