Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Facility Management, this position oversees the day-to-day operations of the business unit-facing facility operations. You will ensure that students, faculty, and staff enjoy a positive facilities experience across functional areas including operation and maintenance, auxiliary services, exteriors, building residential services, and fire safety operations.
In this role, you will manage all operating budgets, maintenance, rehabilitation, and repair activities, while overseeing the negotiation of contracts for safety, environmental, and maintenance solutions. You will directly supervise a staff of six and indirectly supervise approximately 500 employees working across three shifts, with some operations running 24/7. You will also be responsible for addressing all emergency situations arising in the facilities area and assisting the Associate Vice President with projects, staffing allocation, and organizational structure to meet changing conditions.
As a representative of Campus Services, you will interact with internal and external customers, make presentations to departments and campus constituents, and serve on university committees. Please note that position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option for this role.
