Draper is an independent, nonprofit research and development company headquartered in Cambridge, MA. With over 2,000 employees, we tackle important national challenges with a promise of delivering successful and usable solutions. From military defense and space exploration to biomedical engineering, lives often depend on the solutions we provide. Our multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists work in a collaborative environment that inspires the cross-fertilization of ideas necessary for true innovation.
As a Senior Component Quality Engineer, you will serve as the critical link between engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams. In this role, you provide programmatic oversight for the selection, development, evaluation, qualification, production, and procurement of electronic parts. You will work closely with engineers to ensure parts meet rigorous quality standards and specifications, helping to build technology that supports national defense and electronic systems.
You will be responsible for driving solutions to complex problems, often with limited direction, and adapting to evolving requirements. This position offers the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers, lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis, and actively contribute to improving manufacturing and process efficiency. If you are an engineer who knows their way around components and supply chains and wants to make a tangible impact on national security, this role is for you.
This position is onsite in Cambridge, MA, and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance. To apply, please visit www.draper.com/careers. If you do not find the right posting in our Career Opportunities, you may submit your resume for future consideration.
