At the Gss Nd Mandan Sunset facility in Mandan, ND, the Senior Nursing Assistant serves as an experienced caregiver and a vital member of the nursing team. This role goes beyond basic assistance; it is about providing expert-level, resident-centered care that addresses both the physical and psychological needs of our seniors.
In this position, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver daily living assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dining support. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive dining experience, assisting with transfers and mobility exercises, and documenting resident interactions and outcomes. As a senior team member, you are expected to lead in problem-solving, support other clinical staff, and ensure strict adherence to infection prevention policies and Personal Protective Equipment protocols.
The role also offers opportunities to participate in wellness and recreational programs, assist with restorative nursing initiatives, and contribute to departmental committees. You will be a key communicator, reporting changes in resident conditions to the charge nurse and ensuring a safe, clean, and operational living environment.
