About the Role
SMX is actively seeking a dynamic Senior Cloud Engineer to support a government client in Huntsville, AL. This role emphasizes operational excellence, championed by a commitment to quality, articulate communication, client success, and measurable results. You will serve as a trusted advisor and Cloud Subject Matter Expert, guiding technical decisions during client engagements and developing courses of action using innovative cloud best practices.
In this position, you will partner with the customer to support their cloud strategy, utilizing DoD-approved cloud service providers to deliver Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Data as a Service (DaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). You will define and engineer solution capabilities that satisfy customer business drivers, performing architecture and requirements analysis to optimize the customer landscape through the adoption of cloud-native services. Your work will involve taking ownership of issues with a high sense of urgency, providing advanced technical support, and troubleshooting complex problems to ensure seamless operations.
