About the Role
SMX is actively seeking a dynamic Junior Cloud Engineer to support a government client in Huntsville, AL. This role is designed for an individual committed to operational excellence, quality, articulate communication, and client success. You will serve as a trusted advisor for technical decisions during client engagements, developing courses of action using innovative cloud best practices.
In this position, you will work within an Agile IT environment to establish cloud-based technologies in a government-provided hybrid cloud setting. Your focus will be on ensuring security, performance, operability, and scale for our customers. You will support and facilitate the customer's cloud strategy, utilizing DoD-approved cloud service providers to deliver Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Data as a Service (DaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) within the agency's supported cloud architecture. The role requires taking ownership of issues with a high sense of urgency, providing direct support, troubleshooting direction, and complex problem resolution to ensure continuous operational capability.
