Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for Small, Medium, and Large businesses. Within GCS, the Control Management Business Conduct team serves as the subject matter expert for Business Conduct Risk topics. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSupport execution and enhancement of operational risk management activities for Business Conduct programs
- check_circlePartner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise policies and regulatory requirements
- check_circleResearch and communicate emerging operational risk trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices
- check_circleIdentify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies within the GCS Sales monitoring application
- check_circleCoordinate small-scale system implementation and integration efforts across multiple stakeholder groups
- check_circleParticipate in quality assurance testing activities including test execution, defect tracking, and validation
- check_circleSupport project coordination activities by tracking deliverables and maintaining documentation
- check_circleCollaborate to design, implement, and enhance controls tailored to specialized risk areas
- check_circleCoordinate and disseminate targeted training and awareness materials to strengthen risk understanding
- check_circleDevelop, document, and maintain risk management guidance, procedures, and subject matter materials
Requirements
- verified2+ years of experience in operational risk management, risk, controls, compliance, governance, and/or internal audit functions
- verifiedEmployment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required
Nice to Have
Experience supporting operational risk management programs within financial services or a highly regulated environment. Familiarity with control management frameworks, conduct risk programs, and/or enterprise governance processes. Experience supporting system implementation, QA testing, or process improvement initiatives. Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly to various stakeholder groups.
