About the Role
This is a contracting opportunity with OpenKyber to support a government client as a Senior Software Engineer. The position is fully remote, with the expectation of traveling to the client's site approximately twice per quarter. The role functions as a dedicated developer embedded within the client's development team, participating in ongoing Agile development work.
On a day-to-day basis, you will take development tasks from the backlog, design and develop application enhancements, and modify existing functionality. You will write C# and ASP.NET code, work with SQL Server databases, and develop stored procedures. The role involves unit testing, participating in acceptance testing, and resolving defects. You will also document code changes, prepare status updates, and provide verbal reports to management.
You will collaborate closely with developers, QA staff, operations staff, and business users. Participation in Agile ceremonies—including Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives—is required. Additionally, you will coordinate with operations teams to ensure development and production environments are ready for deployments and support maintenance activities.
