About the Role
As a Sr. Accountant, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, assisting with day-to-day transactional accounting while reporting directly to the Manager of Finance & Accounting. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity of our month-end and year-end closing processes. You will serve as a key partner to the Finance Director, helping to interpret complex financial information for executives and auditors.
In this position, you will navigate the nuances of government contracting and compliance, ensuring all accounting policies are rigorously followed. Your day will involve a blend of analytical review and operational execution, from reconciling general ledger accounts and auditing records to preparing specialized financial reports. You will also play a vital role in maintaining financial security through strict internal controls and database management, while acting as an initial point of contact for various programs and projects.
Work Environment & Culture
This is a full-time role designed with flexibility in mind. The position is primarily remote, with a requirement for weekly onsite work to support business needs. We provide a professional office environment during travel and expect employees to maintain a home office setup that satisfies the role's requirements. While hours are flexible, they should generally align with core business hours (8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday), with occasional adjustments needed for meetings or client events.
