The Senior Account Executive (SAE) is a strategic sales leader dedicated to driving revenue growth and profitability by prospecting new customers and securing long-term contracts. This role goes beyond traditional sales; it is focused on "saving, securing, and converting" by managing customer cancellation requests, providing ongoing contract education, and securing commitments through face-to-face interactions. SAEs act as the primary resolver for all customer service escalations within their territory, ensuring high levels of satisfaction while growing billable value through the sale of new waste streams, services, and products.
This position is highly mobile and field-focused. The majority of the week is spent conducting customer site visits within the assigned territory to build relationships and identify opportunities. The remainder of the week is a hybrid of working from the area office and remotely. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of industry trends, local regulations, and competitive pricing to propose optimized solutions and equipment leasing options. You will collaborate closely with Plant Managers and Brokerage Account Managers to upgrade materials and achieve plant goals, while maintaining a robust sales pipeline through proactive retention calls and strategic prospect development.
