This role is defined by a "save, secure, and convert" philosophy, where the SAE handles customer cancellation requests, provides ongoing education on contract details, and secures commitments through face-to-face interactions. Beyond acquisition, the position is critical for managing existing business relationships, resolving service escalations within the territory, and maintaining high billable value by selling new waste streams, services, and products to current accounts.
The day-to-day rhythm of this role is a dynamic blend of field work and strategic planning. The majority of the week is spent conducting site visits to build rapport and assess customer needs in person, while the remainder of the week is focused on cold calling and prospecting to build a robust sales pipeline. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of industry trends, local regulations, and competitive pricing to propose optimized solutions that align with both customer goals and company profitability.
