As a Second Grade Teacher within USD 259, you will serve as a vital link in the educational journey of young learners. This position is designed to teach and facilitate learning while maintaining academic progress, discipline, and accurate records for students in grades K-5. The role exists to ensure that every student receives a high-quality education that meets their individual needs through a supportive and structured classroom environment.
You will work directly under the supervision of the department supervisor, collaborating with a diverse population of students, parents, and colleagues. Success in this role requires the ability to handle all situations with tact and diplomacy, maintaining a positive attitude while interacting with internal and external customers in a friendly, professional manner. Your day-to-day impact will be felt through direct instruction, the creation of effective lesson plans, and active communication with parents to discuss student progress.
