Day in the Life

Your day will be a dynamic blend of direct instruction, collaborative planning, and meaningful engagement. You will craft effective lesson plans that guide daily learning, setting clear objectives for students, parents, and peers. Beyond the classroom, you will administer assessments to track progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate regularly with guardians to discuss student achievements and challenges. You will also collaborate closely with Special Education and ESOL teachers to implement necessary modifications, ensuring an inclusive classroom for all.

In addition to teaching, you will supervise common areas to support the school's goals, participate in faculty meetings and professional development workshops, and prepare students for state assessment exams. You will be expected to navigate school policies, maintain a safe and stimulating environment, and respond rapidly to any emergency situations. Success in this role requires a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to interact with a diverse population using tact and diplomacy.

Hiring Process

Candidates for this position must possess a valid Kansas State teaching license in Elementary Education (K-9, K-6, or Early Childhood Unified) and hold a Bachelor's Degree. While classroom teaching experience is preferred, the primary focus is on your commitment to educational excellence and your ability to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
