Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Labor/Delivery Scrub Tech provides essential care for women and newborns. This position serves as a bridge between patient care and surgical support, utilizing sterile techniques to prepare surgical suites for C-sections and tubal ligations, while also preparing delivery tables for vaginal births. The role functions as an operating room technician, assisting physicians with surgical procedures and ensuring the environment remains safe and sterile throughout the operative process.
This is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position designed for candidates eager to grow into a Scrub Tech role. Successful candidates will learn to scrub within 90 days of hire. For unit and personal growth, we prefer candidates willing to make a one-year commitment upon the successful completion of training. The Scrub Tech (CNA) works alongside Patient Care Techs and Health Unit Coordinators, assisting with scrubbing for C-sections and managing the readiness of patient rooms for the labor and delivery process.
