The Youth First Care Program is a school-based initiative that embeds mental health therapists directly into Prince George's County Schools. By operating within the school environment and offering services free of charge to clients, the program effectively addresses common barriers to therapy, such as transportation costs and financial constraints.
You will provide clinical mental health support to students and their families within Prince George's County Public Schools. Working alongside a multi-disciplined team driven by a bold vision to change lives, you will conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions to address personal and environmental obstacles. Your work will involve developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans while collaborating with the school system to help families access relevant community resources and coordinating with local social service agencies when necessary.
