This position serves as the driving force behind the sales strategy for Okaloosa County venues. The primary mission is to increase event volume, drive revenue growth, and strategically position the county as a premier destination for meetings, sports, conventions, and large-scale gatherings.
You will act as the bridge between potential clients and the county's event capabilities. Your day-to-day involves identifying target markets, generating qualified leads, and managing the full sales cycle from initial inquiry to contract negotiation. A significant portion of the role is dedicated to relationship building, requiring you to maintain contact with existing key accounts while forging new partnerships with local hotels, attractions, and restaurants to ensure a seamless experience for visiting groups.
As a representative of the county, you will also serve as a host for familiarization tours, showcasing the venue's capabilities to meeting planners and tourism industry professionals. Success in this role requires a blend of creativity in presentation, resourcefulness in promotion, and the ability to work collaboratively with the marketing team to refine sales tactics and tools.
