This outside sales position is based in the Grand Rapids, MI territory. You will be responsible for promoting the company's products and services, building relationships with new and existing accounts, and driving profitable sales growth. The role requires a strategic approach to developing new business, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business.
You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, researching their business needs to develop tailored mixes of products and services. This involves evaluating market trends, recommending products, and providing practical training to customer personnel. Success in this role may require working non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet customer needs.
A significant portion of your day will involve driving your personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings. You will also manage deliveries according to the routing schedule, troubleshoot order process issues, and handle accounts receivable in collaboration with the credit department. Additionally, you will participate in company functions, promotions, and ongoing training sessions, while assisting in the training of new employees as requested.
Candidates must be located within the sales territory. The application process includes passing employment testing and signing the Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement. We look for individuals who reside in or are willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory.
