About the Role

As a Sales Associate at Hot Spot Stores, you are the face of our brand, ensuring every customer leaves with a positive experience. This position is designed to provide new employees with a clear overview of expectations while offering a dynamic environment where you can develop transferable skills in customer service, salesmanship, and retail operations. The role is not limited to a static list of duties; you will be expected to adapt to the unique needs of the store, performing tasks that may vary from day to day.

Day in the Life

Your day begins by maintaining the store's operational excellence. You will stock refrigerator units with drinks and perishable goods, ensuring shelves, displays, and coolers are clean and fully stocked. A significant part of your role involves keeping the work area neat, from the coffee bar and snack area to the restrooms and facilities. You will operate various machines, including lottery, money order, and gas pumps, while adhering to strict safety and security procedures for robbery prevention.

Customer interaction is at the heart of this position. You will greet and thank every customer in a timely, professional manner, suggesting purchases and promoting store specials. Whether you are reconciling paperwork, making drops into the safe, or assisting the Store Manager with daily operations, your goal is to provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service. You will work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, often independently, adapting to the flow of the store.
