About the Role

This position serves as the frontline of the Hot Spot Stores and Shell Store experience, dedicated to delivering prompt, efficient, and courteous service to every customer. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of the store, greeting guests warmly, promoting store specials, and ensuring a clean, organized environment that encourages repeat business.

The role is designed to provide a dynamic entry point into the retail industry, offering opportunities to develop transferable skills in customer conflict resolution, salesmanship, leadership, and money-handling procedures. While the position involves essential operational duties such as stocking shelves, maintaining coolers, and managing cash registers, it is fundamentally about creating a positive atmosphere for our community.

Work Environment & Expectations

You will work in a fast-paced convenience store setting where adaptability is key. The role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. You will be expected to follow all company policies and state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and other regulated items.

Please note that this is a variable position. Employees are hired with the understanding that the company cannot initially determine the number of hours worked per week, and shifts may vary to include weekends and holidays. The role involves physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, as well as exposure to cold temperatures when stocking refrigerator units.
