About the Role
MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Safety and Training Manager to serve as a hands-on leader within our division. This role is critical for implementing programs and procedures that ensure full compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as corporate and client policies. The manager will act as the primary expert for OSHA, CDL compliance, and EPA regulations, setting the tone for a safety-first culture across all operating divisions.
In this position, you will oversee the entire spectrum of driver training, from new-hire orientation to annual refresher and remedial sessions, including both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. You will be accountable for analyzing safety technology data to develop proactive plans that reduce and prevent future incidents. Additionally, you will manage the Drug and Alcohol program, oversee corporate safety incentives, and lead the division in organizing safety audits conducted by corporate, client, and regulatory staff.
A key aspect of this role involves fostering a consistent safety culture that integrates operations, safety, and maintenance departments. You will work closely with corporate claims staff to handle liability and workers' compensation claims promptly, aiming to minimize financial liability and ensure injured employees are returned to full-duty status as quickly as possible through effective coordination with local medical facilities.

Requirements

- verifiedAbility to read, write and speak English
- verifiedFamiliar with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
Experience working in transit, preferably urban public. Previous passenger transportation in current project or similar environment.
