As a member of the Oryx Insurance Brokerage, Inc claims team, you will play a vital role in managing complex Workers Compensation cases, specifically those within the construction sector. Our mission is to achieve appropriate outcomes by independently investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims in a timely manner, ensuring strict adherence to legal statutes, policy provisions, and carrier guidelines.
In this position, you will serve as a key investigator and resolver for complex construction claims. Your day-to-day involves administering claims with minimal supervision, determining coverage and compensability, and managing reserves with documented rationale. You will collaborate closely with medical professionals to develop return-to-work strategies, negotiate settlements, and manage service vendors to balance expense with loss outcomes. This role requires a high degree of customer service, effective communication with internal and external parties, and the ability to assist underwriting on new and renewal business.
