About the Role
This position serves as a vital link between clinical care and facility safety within the Employer Health Services Admin department at Blount Memorial Hospital. You will perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of fire suppression and control systems while responding to fire alarms, fires, and medical emergencies on-site.
Beyond emergency response, you will work closely with Arconic leadership to promote a safe work environment. Your day involves providing basic emergency care according to Blount Memorial Hospital approved policies, conducting drug and alcohol screenings for injured employees, and offering technical support to ensure compliance with regulatory safety standards. You will also manage Homeland Security inventory, handle lock-out/tag-out procedures, and support environmental response processes for spills.
