About the Role
Moody Excavating, LLC is seeking a Rock Drill Operator to support civil drilling operations while building the skills necessary to grow into a senior driller position. This role is ideal for candidates with some drilling or heavy equipment experience who are ready to advance their careers in a long-term environment.
You will operate rock drills safely and efficiently under the direction of a lead driller, assisting with setup, tool changes, and daily equipment checks. A key part of your day involves monitoring ground conditions, communicating changes to the crew, and executing drill patterns and layouts established by the Blasting Superintendent. The ideal candidate will work unsupervised while maintaining high efficiency and strict adherence to safety practices.
We value candidates who are willing to learn, take direction, and work toward production targets. All positions require the ability to work overtime as needed and a commitment to following company policies and OSHA safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
