About the Role

At Dynetek Solutions LLC, the Directional Boring Driller/Operator is a cornerstone of our operations in the Utilities, Power, Telecommunications, and Pipeline sectors. This role is designed for a skilled professional who approaches problem-solving with precision while prioritizing risk minimization on the job site. You will act as an independent operator who must effectively command the team, ensuring that all necessary resources are identified and secured before, during, and after drilling commences.

Your day-to-day involves setting up directional drill and support equipment for underground utility operations. You will skillfully operate horizontal directional drill machinery to install underground electric cables, preparing holes with minimal disruption to surrounding infrastructure. Beyond operation, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the job site: conducting utility briefings, spotting existing utilities with hand tools, and managing the placement and maintenance of underground utilities. This includes heavy lifting, jack hammering, and restoring the landscape to its original condition by refilling trenches, compacting soil, and applying temporary asphalt or concrete patches as needed.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess a valid CDL and a ticketless driving record for the last three years. The selection process includes a pre-employment screening that encompasses a background check and drug testing to ensure compliance with all DOT requirements. Successful applicants will be expected to pass physical demands tests, including the ability to lift and load workpieces of at least 50 pounds daily and work in loud, outdoor environments across all weather conditions.
