About the Role
This position serves as a vital link in patient care, receiving and responding to consumer calls for health care assistance. Working within the Patient Line RN Triage department, you will utilize the nursing process to assess symptoms, determine acuity, and develop patient care plans in accordance with the organization's scope, standards, and mission.
In this fast-paced environment, you will provide professional advice, education, and options based on clinical judgment and established protocols. Your day will involve eliciting concerns from callers, identifying appropriate algorithms, and making decisive judgments to contact emergency services or refer patients to healthcare providers and community resources when necessary. You will also document all interactions and perform follow-up calls to evaluate the effectiveness of care.
