About the Role
This position serves as a critical leadership presence for nursing services during evening, night, and weekend hours. The role is designed to ensure continuity of care and operational excellence when staffing needs are often most complex. You will direct and supervise nursing activities, acting as the primary point of contact for clinical decision-making and staff coordination during these shifts.
In this capacity, you will manage the full spectrum of departmental operations, from preparing work schedules and assigning personnel to evaluating performance and fostering a culture of professional growth. The role requires active engagement on the floor, including making complete rounds to monitor patient conditions and assisting physicians and families during times of stress or crisis. You will also play a key role in emergency response, coordinating emergency surgeries and participating in code evaluations to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality assurance.
Hiring Process
Candidates interested in this per diem position should submit their application with a current valid New Mexico or compact RN license, along with proof of BLS and ACLS certifications (issued through the American Heart Association). The hiring team will review qualifications to ensure alignment with the required six months of management experience or five years of acute care clinical experience.

Requirements
