Presbyterian exists to improve the health of patients, members, and the communities we serve. Founded in New Mexico in 1908, we are the state's largest private employer and a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system. Our network includes nine hospitals, a statewide health plan, and a growing multi-specialty medical group. With nearly 14,000 employees, including over 1,600 providers and 4,700 nurses, we are deeply committed to the well-being of New Mexico.
Presbyterian Hospital is seeking New Grad nurses to join our teams in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This opportunity is designed for students approaching graduation or newly licensed nurses (graduating within 12 months) who are eager to launch their professional careers.
You will be hired as full-time nursing staff "in training" and will participate in our year-long Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program. This program is a cornerstone of our culture, designed to improve engagement and retention by providing a strong nursing foundation for quality practice. Residents will obtain continuing education credits upon completion. The role offers variable hours across various sites, including Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital, Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, PRESNow locations, and Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center.
As a resident nurse, you will gain hands-on experience in high-acuity and specialized units such as Critical Care, Emergency Department, Progressive Care, Medical/Surgical Care, Family Birthing, Pediatric Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, and Operating Rooms. You will work with the EPIC electronic charting system and benefit from our Staff Safety initiative, which includes a wearable badge allowing nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern.
We believe that how you grow, learn, and thrive matters here. Beyond a competitive salary and sign-on/relocation bonuses, we offer a comprehensive support system:
