As a Registered Professional Dialysis Nurse, you are the cornerstone of safe, high-quality patient care within our dialysis unit. Your role goes beyond clinical tasks; you actively shape individualized care plans, guiding patients through the entire treatment journey from pre-assessment to post-treatment evaluation. You will deliver direct and indirect care, administering prescribed medications and ensuring every interaction reflects clinical excellence and compassion.
Beyond patient care, this position is vital to the operational integrity of our facility. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of dialysis equipment and supplies, applying principles of stewardship to minimize waste and optimize resources. By maintaining accurate, timely documentation that reflects both patient outcomes and prudent resource management, you help support the delivery of high-value, sustainable dialysis care.

Candidates must hold a valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact state. Successful applicants will be expected to obtain required certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS (specifically for CHRISTUS Children's Hospital), within the designated timeframe per the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy.

Bachelor's degree in Science in Nursing (BSN). 1 year of acute clinical experience as a registered nurse. Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience. Clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
Skills: Dialysis, Hand Hygiene, Ppe, Water Treatment, Electrolyte Addition, Acid Concentrate, Dialysis Access, Lab Specimens, Blood Products, Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents.
Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
