About the Role

The Perioperative Services Staff Educator serves as a vital link in the professional development of our PACU and Pre-Op teams at the main campus. This role is designed to ensure the highest standards of patient care by developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive onboarding and educational programs. You will work closely with educators in the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department to support staff growth and maintain competency across all perioperative services.

In this position, you will function as a role model, mentor, and instructor, guiding clinical staff and preceptors through evidence-based teaching strategies. Your day-to-day involves identifying learning needs, addressing barriers to education, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary staff to resolve performance or knowledge deficits. You will also play a key role in quality and infection control initiatives, ensuring all departmental education records remain compliant with regulatory guidelines and ASPAN standards.
