The RN Director of Adult Acute Care Services serves as a strategic leader within Nursing Administration, overseeing nursing operations and the overall performance of the department. This role is pivotal in maintaining nursing practice standards and upholding the nursing code of ethics. As a representative of the OU Health nursing body, you will work closely with senior leadership and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care across the organization.
In this position, you will model the OU Health Way through your work output and interactions with employees and patients. You will be accountable for clinical care, departmental performance metrics, and the development of quality initiatives that promote a culture of safety and mitigate bias. Your day-to-day involves managing the department budget and resources, resolving patient complaints, and establishing policies that ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies. You will also serve as a key resource for physicians and staff, fostering an inclusive workforce and effectively managing team selection, retention, and performance through coaching and real-time feedback.
